Job Overview
The Children’s Services Coordinator will oversee and provide support & guidance in the implementation of all Children’s Services at Their Place to ensure that high quality, accessible care is provided and will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative management of all clinical children’s services programs & supervision of program staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To foster, implement and monitor program processes to ensure both best practice service to clients and best practice fiscal reimbursement and management.
  • Provides Direct Service Staff employee oversight, observations, supervision of cases, and training pertaining to ensure day to day operations runs smoothly.
  • Supervision of employees/independent consultants providing clinical in-home services. Clinical staff will include OT, PT & SLP in addition to behavioral staff.
  • Coordinates with training staff for on-going trainings and training materials for all practitioners providing autism services.
  • Conducting initial evaluations and ongoing evaluations required in order to obtain authorization from insurance companies for services.
  • Assists with re-evaluation of children in order to maintain insurance authorization.

  • Assists with initial ABLLS-R/VB-MAPP assessment on children and then update this assessment every 4-6 months.

  • Point of contact for new incoming families interested in social skills & services offered.
  • Provide support to practitioners providing autism services to facilitate problem resolution, communication between team members and service provision.

Experience/Qualifications/ Education:

· A master’s degree in family therapy, social work, or counseling

  • Maintains current licensure/certification as required by Professional licensing board.

Under the supervision of the BCBA or BCBA-D, this position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans. Collaborate with other treatment team members and Provide consultation and training for parents, staff and community members as needed.

The Behavior Technician provides direct one-on-one therapy sessions and support to individuals with behavioral issues or developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of BCBA or BCBA-D, the Behavior Technician assists in implementing behavior plans, conducting behavior assessments, collecting data on client behavior, and facilitating skill-building activities. Position Title: Day Habilitation Program Manager

Department: Programs

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: COO

Position Summary:

The Day Habilitation Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the program and staff supervision. Responsible for developing the curriculum and lesson plans for all classes and teaching skills to program participants

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures that the Day Hab Program meets all compliance standards associated with the individual’s records, all medication records and storage requirements, transportation vehicles, and facility safety standards.
  • Provides direct supervision for the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and the Lead DSP.
  • Participates in the development of the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
  • Serves as an active member of the individuals’ interdisciplinary team (IDT).
  • Maintain regular and professional communication with families, other provider group homes, guardianship offices, support coordinators, and others involved with the individuals enrolled.
  • Conduct a positive on-site program orientation for all new hires.
  • Supports and ensures the continuous development of new and existing staff in the quality delivery of services.
  • Responsible for creating meaningful monthly program schedules using person-centered approaches, sharing these with families, and maintaining records of such.
  • Identify and develop meaningful community opportunities such as trips and events for those enrolled in the program(s).
  • Responsible for the finances that come into the program for activity-related events, collection of receipts, and the return of any funds to families and/or group homes as needed.
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of the program petty cash account.
  • Complete General Event Reports (GERs) as needed and report Unusual Incident Reports (UIR) immediately to the Program Coordinator, COO, and Director of Quality Assurance.
  • Participate in the referral and intake process for new enrollments, providing family tours and promoting program benefits for the individual once enrolled.
  • Coordinate morning and afternoon transportation routes to ensure that timely pick-ups and drop-offs are taking place for the individuals enrolled in the program.
  • Drive agency vehicles as needed to ensure community outings are completed.
  • Ensure that daily progress notes and attendance is completed in the electronic health record (Therap).
  • Monitor the electronic health record in Therap to ensure that complete and quality documentation is being submitted; coach staff regarding their documentation as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and follows through on related QA assignments for compliance purposes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Programs Coordinator and/or COO.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one 3-5 years of experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience managing a Day Hab program.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records, and experience with Therap a plus.
  • Must possess a valid NJ Driver’s License.

Provide services for people with special needs in our Day Hab Program in East Brunswick NJ. DSPs pick them up, take them into the community for social events, shopping, or other community activities. DSPs can also help mentor and coach consumers with special needs. DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve.   • Spend time with the participant as he/she engages in activities, such as Day habilitation activities, shopping and other activities of daily living.
  • Help the participant to develop his/her goals and objectives, in accordance with his or her particular individual plans.
  • Plan shopping trips, educational classes and recreational activities that are in line with the participant's interests.
  • Help individuals to be as independent as possible with activities of daily living and assist them, as necessary.
  • DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
  • Help the individual to determine the career direction through analyzing interest, situational assessments, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with no more than 5 points.
  • Need to be willing to provide transportation to individuals with disabilities in your own personal vehicle.
  • Six months of experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Successful clearance of state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
  • Must have access to a cell phone or computer for work purposes.
